Under “Internet Properties” window click “Lan settings” button.
6. Now , check Local Area Network (LAN) Settings (chrome) and click on the Proxy server for your LAN” and enter your proxy settings (Window).
7. Finally click on OK button and Apply to save the settings.
It is known to advanced IT users that Windows Internet Explorer automatically detects proxy settings if there is needed. However, user can manually set a proxy with information supplied by the network administrator. If users follow the above mentioned steps to change proxy server settings and the new setting is not working till then must check Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or the Internet address for the proxy server for slashes (/) rather and backslashes (\) as it is typing the address where a universal naming convention (UNC) for the proxy server connection.
