OnePlus 4 Tipped to Sport Snapdragon 830 SoC, Launch in June-July 2017

OnePlus is on a dream run ever since its flagship handheld OnePlus 3 started attracting massive sales globally. The phenomenal success of the device has already inspired the smartphone maker to work on a new variant for an estimated 017 release. Latest rumour has it that the impending OnePlus 4 will run on the yet-to-be-launched Snapdragon 830, and it’s likely to be rolled on sometime during June-July next year.

  • The OnePlus is pegged to be launched in June-July 2017
  • It is likely to be powered by all-new QualComm Snapdragon 830 processor
  • It is most likely to run Andorid 7.0 Nougat

And it looks like this stipulation has some stable grounds to it, too, since the timeframe clued by Weibo is synonymous with the usual flagship release period of the smartphone major.

To be noted that the sensational OnePlus 3 was also released in June this year. Qualcomm, however, has not yet made any official claims about the release of Snapdragon 830 chipset. Nevertheless, it’s coming for sure, as Samsung recently walked a step out with a few words on the Chipset, revealing that it will be powered by 10nm manufacturing process.

Rumoured to be reinforced by an octa-core setup, the chip will most likely support up to 8 GB of RAM and 4K display resolutions. Looks like a serious contender for sure, isn’t it? The Microsoft Surface Phone, upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and the charismatic Turing phones are also likely to flaunt this all-new Snapdragon 830 processor.

The latest Snapdragon chipset that Qualcomm is offering at the moment is Snapdragon 821, and experts have clued that OnePlus is mulling over the launch of an upgraded OnePlus 3T variant with this chip sometime by the fall of this year.

Here’s a sneak peek at the probable specs of an upgraded OnePlus 3T variant:

  • Android 7.0 Oxygen OS (Nougat-based)

The Optic OLED display is likely to be replaced by an LCD panel and the device is stipulated to be pegged at around $479.
